Annual Practising Certificate (APC) Applications now open for the 2026/27 practising year
Kia ora,
Applications for Annual Practising Certificates (APCs) for the 2026/27 practising year are now open. If you plan to practise at any time between 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, you’ll need to hold a current APC for that year.
A few helpful reminders
- Apply online: via the Psychologists Portal on our website
- We recommend applying early to help ensure your APC is in place ahead of the new practising year and to avoid any last-minute delays
As part of your application, please ensure your details are up to date.
Not practising this year or you want to change your practising status? If you do not intend to practise in the upcoming PC year, you can login to complete the necessary declaration and (if you choose to stay on the register) pay the Register Maintenance Fee.
The APC survey includes a new question this year about awareness of the forthcoming Code of Conduct. Many practitioners will be aware that the development of the Code, alongside the review of the Code of Ethics, has been underway for some time and is now nearing completion. All practitioners and key stakeholders will be formally advised when the Code of Conduct is finalised, including the go-live timeframe.
You can find more information about APC requirements, fees, and the application process on the here.
If you have any questions, or need support with your application, please don’t hesitate to get in touch – we’re happy to help.
Ngā mihi nui,
